The cover art for a CD titled “TOU”

In July, I produced the cover calligraphy for a CD titled “TOU,” by ENATONE, an innovative jazz ensemble consisting of bass guitarist Eiji Nakayama, flute player Naoko Kitazawa, and koto player Akemi Takeda. The character “TOU” means “large wave” and usually refers to rough, angry waves on an open sea. The CD was released on the 18th of this month, and ENATONE is currently performing selections from it live all over Japan.
